# Dubai Launches The Largest "Mall" Tender In The World
Construction companies have received an invitation to
express interest in implementing the world's largest mall, which will be larger
than the Dubai Mall, and is part of the Dubai Creek seaport project, according
to MEED magazine.
According to sources close to the project, the area of the
mall will reach 1.4 million square meters, but it is not clear the total area
to be offered for rent.
The Dubai Mall, the largest in science, currently has a
total area of 1.124 million square meters.
But the world's largest mall in terms of exposed space is
the New South China Mall in Dongguan, with an area of 670,000 square meters.
The World Mall, which is being developed by Dubai Holding,
was launched in 2014 with a total area of 750,000 square meters. The project
has not yet been completed.
Mohammed Alabbar, president of Emaar Properties, which
develops the Mall of the Creek, told CNN earlier that the new mall would be
bigger than Dubai Mall.
MEED commented that Dubai's ambitions are beyond the
challenges.
She added that Dubai's strategy to deal with challenges is
unconventional. When a market faces rising supply concerns, companies are
cautious and delay investment decisions to see the market.
But things in Dubai are different. Instead of postponing,
Dubai moves forward with greater courage and boldness.
